First time there. Went for dinner after 8pm. A lot of servers seemed to be wondering aimlessly around doing nothing. Was not that busy. Seemed to take a while to get the food. The pistolettes were good. The large shrimp poboy was very skimpy on the shrimp. The bbq oyster poboy was skimpy too. I had the Gumbo Burger. I was double charged, still in the pre-auth stage, one for the right amount & the other for $127. Idk where that charge came from. Hoping it falls off & doesn't go through.
We had seafood gumbo - we took home left overs - added rice, onions, and chicken made it a lot better. Nice small restaurant - nice server.

The seafood gumbo had a perfect dark colored rue with good flavor but I felt there should've been a bit more seafood in it. My serving certainly didn't arrive looking like some of the photos in this thread.
Too much okra. Maybe they need to learn to make a file' gumbo.
No wait for a table but took a long time after we sat. I wanted to order a hurricane but was informed they have no ingredients to make it. Or "At least we did not yesterday when I worked". Least you can do is check! That's your job. You don't tell a customer no unless you know. So then they didn't have anything to make Margaritas or Hurricanes. Since Saturday night, really?! I always look forward to eating here but tonight was horroble. The service (Laura) was awful. Had to ask for everything at least twice and acted like we were an inconvenience. The cioppino is usually out of this world but tonight was horrible. You need to go back to what you we're doing a year ago. I don't know that I will go back.
