RecommendedThe seafood gumbo is inspired. The woman who served us was friendly, efficient, and attentive without being a lurker. The food is fresh and unpretentious. I'd go there before any of the chains taking up space on that road.

everything I have had here,is on point. I recommend the coastal cuisine plate,it is the bomb,extremely flavorful and delicious. The gumbo is also the best I've ever had, not even the places in Louisiana, where I've eaten gumbo, come close in flavor

This was the first restaurant we chose our first day in Galveston. It was sooooo delish! We had to stop in for some gumbo to take home with us. Highly recommended !!!

Here for our first dinner. We have had breakfast before which was amazing. This meal is wonderful!!! The Greek salad was huge and perfect. All the food cooked perfect. Definitely a small hidden gem. Worth any wait time. Can’t wait to come back!!! Also our server trey was great. His recommendation for our main course was on point!

Too long of a wait at the restaurant chain next door, so we decided to try the Gumbo Diner instead. The food was delicious and portions were generous. My husband and I split the seafood gumbo (note: a small portion is huge) and the shrimp and crawfish poboy and enjoyed them both. We got the beignets to go and they were amazing! Even if we don't eat a meal here next time we're in town, we'll be grabbing beignets at least.

Awesome late night after beach dinner! Great portions at a good price and the service was just right. Chris enthusiastically took care of our party of ten and served up a friendly meal capped with pillowy beignets. Standouts etoufee, gumbo, clean flaky catfish, and juicy shrimp were a home run w everyone. Def will be coming back for breakfast (they have biscuits and beignets yall).
