I love Mario's and have been there many times. I always order the shrimp Parmesan and was looking forward to it for Valentine's day. But we sat at the empty bar to avoid the wait, and Mike the bartender was just about the worst bartender ever! He told me that I could not order shrimp Parmesan and when my hubs asked for a substitute to a pasta side, he told him absolutely no substitutions. Best Italian food I've eaten. Great atmosphere and location to relax and enjoy fine dining and a great staff to cater to your needs.
My family found ourselves on Galveston for a competition for my daughter and Mario's came highly recommended. It did take us a bit figure to figure out there are two and the one we wanted was on the seawall. Nothing disappointed. The hostess was friendly and welcoming and the food was beyond delicious, but I was really impressed by our server Julian.
