Did Galveston Daddys the day before and thought I would try the one by me , the food was good but the service was abysmal , they need to tighten up on the service end
Have been there twice, never again. First of all black gumbo is not real Cajun gumbo, it’s called burnt roux. And it tasted burnt. Their service was terrible, had to ask more than once for missing items for the meal. I brought my sister there the 2nd time, service still bad, when gumbo served first thing my sister said, they burnt the roux! Needs a lot of improvement. Hire someone from Southern Louisiana to cook the gumbo.
I absolutely loved the gumbo...when I finally got it. The service here is horrible! I sat at the bar and had to flag a waiter down to get a drink and take my order. It took 22 minutes to receive my bowl of gumbo; by this time, all I could do was package it up and get back to work. My entire lunch was wasted waiting.
The Barbecue Shrimp was a total failure.. Not remotely like New Orleans bbq shrimp. Pascal Manale would cry! Had to ask for meat in the Mumbo Gumbo..poor service. Bright spot was the manager tried to make it right.
The food was decent, atmosphere was not that bad, however the service was absolutely the worst service I have EVER received anywhere else. The hostess was sweet and very accommodating. The server however, seemed to be out out of his way with everything to do with our table and the fact that we needed more time yo decide what we wanted put him so out of his way. No bread pudding at a New Orleans theme restaurant on a Friday night! More servers than customers & still had to ask for a refill on our drinks. Requested more ranch dressing-never got it. Had 2 servers and neither were good. Disappointing because the food is good but I'll never go back.

Three of us had a small bowl of seafood gumbo with iced tea and garlic bread the check was $70 the food was average the price was way above average!
