Very nice place, historical building with nice upgrades. The bed was pretty firm, so if you're used to that and like it, you will sleep great. The door to our bathroom was warped and wouldn't close all the way, but it wasn't a huge deal for us. The beds had white sheets that were nice, both on top of the cover and under it, so there was no feeling of skeeviness about germs. The people in the front desk areas were very helpful and friendly. This hotel lies literally in the heart of Fell's Point in Baltimore's downtown historic district. That's both good and bad. Good, in that you have a lot of boutique shops to explore, and taverns to choose from. One of the latter I patronized, the Alexander Tavern, served up some very tasty Maryland Vegetable Crab Soup. This hotel is beautiful and the staff as so helpful! It pays homage to the historic building while providing modern amenities. And the staff go above and beyond to make your stay as relaxing as possible. There was a lot of unexpected outside noise due to the cycling race staff putting up metal barricades starting at 3am early Saturday morning that was not at all the hotel’s fault. Incredible service, staff, and atmosphere!!! We hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at the William Fell Tavern and our wedding guests stayed in a room block. The staff and management were SO SO accommodating and made our night so special. Highly recommend!!! Thank you Widny, Melissa, Meg, and Malik for such a memorable night!
Omg! I call this hotel a modern classic styled one. The atmosphere from the outside to the inside, to the room was amazing. Staples (I called her my island sister) and Akeem went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The location of the hotel shared close proximity to beautiful stores, Saturday markets, ferries, the harbor, loads of seafood, scenic walking paths, breathtaking structures and edifices, and constant presence of law enforcement officers that made us feel safe.
