Omg! I call this hotel a modern classic styled one. The atmosphere from the outside to the inside, to the room was amazing. Staples (I called her my island sister) and Akeem went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The location of the hotel shared close proximity to beautiful stores, Saturday markets, ferries, the harbor, loads of seafood, scenic walking paths, breathtaking structures and edifices, and constant presence of law enforcement officers that made us feel safe. Exquisite hotel directly in the center of it all. Farmers market on Saturdays right out front. Great staff and super high end finishes and decorations. Longest standing bar tender makes amazing drinks in the basement. Or check out the tavern on the first floor for some apps and beverages. Staff is super friendly and the gym is brand new
This is a beautiful, well-maintained historic building. However, our stay was far from the relaxing week we needed due to multiple issues: - TV didn’t work for the entire first day - Air conditioning failed for two nights - Fire alarm testing disrupted our Friday morning at 9 AM - No late checkout was offered to compensate for these problems The location is excellent—right across from the water taxi. Be aware that nights can be noisy due to local dirt bike activity and live music.
Great location right by the water and lots of walkable restaurants. Front desk stop is top notch! Recently renovated and looks lovely. Love the candy and water station in the lobby. I wish they had bottles of water for purchase. My room was 380 which was right next to the elevator so I heard dinging all night and all the time. So if you are a light sleeper do not stay in 380 :) one night the hvac also seemed to be malfunctioning and the room would just not cool but the next night it was back to normal! We stayed 8/2, because it was our first Anniversary. The place has really changed since the last time I was there. Hilton has done a great job at taking the place. Everything new and clean. Also, did away with the 9.95 a day. The king size bed was really comfortable. Goose down pillows and goose down spread. They do have Valet Parking. My SUV was right at the at check out time. The people who work there at really great. Including the Bartender, he is great, at The Tavern located downstairs.
