We recently stayed at this beautiful inn and wanted to leave an outstanding review. The location is perfect for enjoying New Hampshire’s stunning fall foliage, with easy access to the White Mountains and the Kancamagus Highway. The hotel itself is charming, and the overall ambiance is fabulous. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Our only small suggestion is that dinner service lasted about two hours each night, which felt a bit long for us. We went to the Wentworth for their Christmas Buffet this year. The buffet was outstanding. The variety of dishes was perfect. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Over the years we have been to many Holiday buffets, this one was by far the best. We will frequent the Inn more often.
I can't say enough good things about our stay. It is one of the top welcoming properties I have stayed at. The rooms were luxurious with robes, metal water bottles (complimentary). There was a stocked refrigerator with drinks, yogurt. Fresh muffins in the morning and cookies in the afternoon in a alcove at the entrance of the rooms. Also a Keurig with coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and service fabulous. EVERYONE was friendly and welcoming.
We went for Thanksgiving dinner. Everything was fabulous from start to finish. From being greeted at the front to our server Scott. Food was plenty and everything from the pork, to the salmon to the turkey and the beef were cooked to perfection. Desserts were delicious as well! Our first thanksgiving out but we'll be back for sure!
Our wedding day was pure magic from start to finish. We exchanged vows on the river lawn, with the serene, quiet river flowing in the background and the brilliant autumn leaves creating a beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. The Alpine Tavern was the perfect setting for our cocktail hour, and the Inn's romantic, rustic interior design provided the quintessential mountain vibes we had dreamed of.
