We stayed here in one of the deluxe king rooms at the beginning of December. The room was perfect, clean, and comfortable. Between the gas fireplace, the generously sized bathroom with heated floors, and the private hot tub off the bathroom, I can't recommend this Inn more highly! The service was also outstanding. Jean took excellent care of us for breakfast, the front desk and housekeeping were so kind, everyone we interacted made our stay feel that much more special. The food was excellent as well. Such a charming hotel! I stayed here once as a child with my family and recently returned with my partner. The lobby is cozy, and the rooms are lovely! My only issues were a bit of confusion at check-in, as the check-in desk is actually in an office area, which threw me off, but the staff were very friendly. Disappointing. This place is overly-hyped, outdated, and doesn’t live up to the things claimed on its website. The entrance is underwhelming. There is no covered area to drive up to for check in. The signage is terrible. There is no clear front desk. Instead, they have a couple of office desks sitting in the lobby with nothing telling you that’s where you check in. There is no concierge service. No one to help you with luggage. No good loading and unloading zone. There is no sundry shop for you to purchase essentials or snac... read more

We enjoyed this hotel. Beautiful lobby, spacious room, bathroom needs work and cleaning. Moldy glass and caulking around the tub, so easily fixed, yet not. When I mentioned this at check out, receptionist smiled and said she was glad I enjoyed my visit…Refreshment area with treats and drinks was great, paid for by the $30 daily resort fee I guess. This has been our romantic getaway for years. I was nervous when new owners purchased it a few years back but now I feel assured. If anything it’s better hanging on to old school New England charm with just the right amount of updates. Sometimes I am hesitant to write these reviews when I like to think it’s our secret. The restaurants in the area are awesome notable mention Tuckerman’s tavern and the red fox.
